As a personal trainer, I strive to give my clients the ultimate in satisfaction as it pertains to their health. That is, I want them to love the way they feel and look in their own skin. Whether it’s weight-loss and general fitness or sculpting and toning as goals for working with a trainer, you can rest assured that your program will be tailored specifically for your needs. Couples training does not have to be with a significant other; you and a friend can team up for this session!

One-on-One Training

Sometimes having an accountable partner in your fitness goals is necessary. Perhaps you aren’t sure what exercises you should perform for your goals. There are a plethora of programs for different end results. Not only do I keep you motivated and consistent in your workouts, but I give individualized instruction. Your workouts are tailored specifically to your needs, including health conditions or limitations. What works for someone else may not work for you, and my job is to create a program that is both enjoyable and one that you can adhere to for years to come. Try not to think of working with a personal trainer as a temporary fix to a temporary problem. Remember, health is about creating lifelong behavior shifts, and your personal trainer should be considered a long-term investment in your health.

That being said, there are times when a shorter term program may be a good fit, such as toning up before your wedding or preparing for a specific sporting event. These programs can range greatly; I’ve had some clients utilize three month programs, but most clients have been with me for years. Ultimately, working with a trainer is about your long-term goals and how I can help you achieve them in a safe and effective way.

I also work with my clients to achieve a well-rounded regimen, such as meal planning suggestions, weekly check-ins, food log monitoring and more. It’s no secret that you can exercise every day for two hours and not lose a pound if your nutrition isn’t on point. Education and knowledge in food as fuel are included in my training packages. As a fitness nutrition specialist, I can help you there, too.

Couples Training/Partner Training

The couple that sweats together stays together! If you both need a customized program that is easy to follow, along with additional accountability with a trainer, couples training is a great option! Remember, you don’t have to train with a spouse! Grab your bestie or co-worker and have a blast working out together.

Lab studies have shown that couples that exercise together report being more satisfied in their relationship (as reported by Psychology Today). Working with your spouse or a friend also improves the efficiency of your workout, as it’s likely you’ll push each other harder than I would.

A more interesting fact for couples: couples training can increase your attraction to each other. That’s right; lots of endorphines and other chemicals are released during exercise, and coupled with seeing your hottie all sweaty may have you scheduling your next date night pronto.

Working out together also creates something called non-verbal matching, or mimicking, which gives you the sense of being in tune with your workout partner, therefore resulting in a closer bond. See, it’s science (also reported by Psychology Today)!

You might also enjoy working out with a friend instead of by yourself. In addition to having some extra accountability by training with a partner, you also reap the benefits of saving some cash. By splitting the cost of partner training, you actually pay less per session than if you were training one-on-one. This is a great option for you if you’re on a budget but definitely need motivation, professional guidance and customized workouts.
